Amelia's Miles
Welcome to Amelia's Miles! We are a nonprofit organization 501(c)(3) that works directly with Community Hosptial North's (CHN) Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) in Indianapolis, IN. Our mission is to provide support, resources, hope, and community to families who have baby(s) in the NICU. Support, hope and community are given through the monthly baby showers that we host. Other resources are granted on a need-to-need basis. We have been able to provide pack& plays, bottles, breastfeeding supplies and more. Amelia's Miles has established a close relationship with the NICU Social Worker and other staff members. Through this partnership we are able to assist in several needs that arise. Gas gift cards, preemie/newborn clothing, and journals are a few of the items that are kept regularly on the unit to help families during their NICU journeys.
More About Us
Amelia's Miles was organized and founded by Sarah and Adam Pulley shortly after their daughter, Amelia spent 125 long days in the CHN NICU. Amelia was born at 27 weeks gestation and only weighed 1 pound 11 ounces. During their journey Sarah and Adam decided that once they survived they were going to give back in every possible way to the unit that saved their daughter's life. They aim to make a difference for families facing similar struggles, using their story to provide support and resources to those in need.
Amelia Today
The question is always asked how Amelia is doing today, now that a few years have passed since her NICU journey; and the answer is, she is doing wonderfully! After coming home with oxygen, a feeding tube, monitor, and countless follow up appointments she has been able to get rid of her medical equipment and mostly discharged from her specialists just before she started preschool! Amelia is kind, brave, smart, funny and continues to amaze her family and everyone she meets every single day!
